National Award 2024

Tinkesh Kaushik was honored with the prestigious National Award for Personal Excellence in the Shresht Divyangjan category, presented by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. The award ceremony was graced by Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, and Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

International Human Rights Award 2024

On December 10th 2024, our founder, Tinkesh Kaushik was awarded the prestigious Human Rights International Award 2024 by the All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties & Social Justice (AICHLS) during the 14th International Human Rights Summit 2024.

Inclusive Fitness Events

Everest Base Camp Trek 2024

One of the three objectives of TAF is to provide Inclusive Fitness Spaces to People with Disabilities, in that spirit, we successfully completed our first inclusive trek. We chose nothing less than Everest Basecamp for this feat. Chonzin Angmo a blind young woman & Vinod Rawat a unilateral amputee were the two PwDs to embark on this maiden attempt. On the 6th of October 2024 on the successful completion of this expedition, Angmo became the first Blind Indian woman to successfully trek to EBC. They were guided by two women trek leaders Anusha Subramanian & Guneet Puri from Bohemian Adventures.

Advanced Mobility Aid Distribution

Arpita Roy

On October 25th, 2024, TAF provided its first set of advanced prosthetics to Arpita Roy, a young woman who lost her limbs in a road traffic accident 18 years ago. Today, Arpita walks independently with advanced prosthetics and can reach her full potential as a yoga teacher. 

Ritesh Vaigankar

On November 16th, 2024, TAF provided an advanced prosthetic leg and foot to Ritesh Vaigankar. A State Table Tennis Champion for Goa, this prosthetic limb led him to be able to run for the first time in 21 years, which he celebrated by completing a marathon soon after. 

Kiran Kanojia

On November 16th, 2024, TAF provided an advanced prosthetic leg to India’s First Woman Blade Runner, Kiran Kanojia. With the new prosthetic limb, Kiran can walk, run, and swim more comfortably in daily life, while using her blades for marathons and other events.  

Shukur

Shukur is a resident of the founders’ village in Goa and meets the founders with excitement and joy every day. He became disabled due to a road accident and requested a new pair of crutches when he heard about the launch of TAF. This is Shukur with his new pair of crutches.
