Namrata is a counseling psychologist with a passion for creating change and supporting people through the challenges of life. They started social work at the age of 16 and have worked in inclusive adventure, digital marketing, and fundraising over the years. They have always wished to add value to the world by creating more accepting and inclusive spaces. As a person with an invisible disability and chronic pain, they have experienced the challenges with accessibility, mental health, and social obstacles that arise, and wish to help others in the community face and overcome these hurdles towards improving their quality of life. Namrata is the Executive Director and the Program Head of the Mental Health Initiative at TAF.
Through their life, Namrata has been incredibly passionate about music and dance, with training in Bharatnatyam, western classical vocals, and music theory. They were an avid athlete with interest and experience in track & field events, basketball, football, and weightlifting prior to their illness.
